Windlight for Education Information Session

windlight.jpg

There’s been a bit of drama in the SLED community about the introduction of Windlight and it’s impact on educators who are trying to use Second Life within institutions with hardware and bandwidth limitations. I know this issue has affected some jokaydians, so I thought I’d let everyone know about the information session that Linden Labs are holding over at the NMC Conference Centre this week. Claudia Linden has just posted on the SLED List….

In response to all the conversation recently about educators and WindLight, we’ll be holding a few inworld informational sessions with Pastrami Linden.

Pastrami will discuss: “How to optimize the latest viewers for older hardware (Hint- they will be even faster than the old ones!)

Additionally, you might find Torley’s recent video on the subject useful – Week #30: Graphics Preferences Guide.

Special thanks to Liz Gealach for the gorgeous image above! One of her lovely entries in our jokaydia Photo Competition.
