A huge congratulations to the lovely Pandora Kurrajong aka KerryJ, one of our long-term residents on the Island of jokaydia. On the 26th January (Australia Day) she will be celebrating her official Australian citizenship!
Unforunately most of us cant make it down to Adelaide to celebrate her official pledge and party in real life… but we can in Second Life!
Everyone is invited to drop into the jokaydia II sim – where I’ve setup a little celebration space with some pics for Ms P, a noticeboard and photoboard for you to leave messages on. There’s also plenty of space for those of you so inclined to leave Ms P a little Aussie gift, card or toy! Aussie kitsch encouraged!!! ;)

For those who scoff at virtual worlds as “games” or online friendships as puff, I’d tell them to think again. The friendships I’ve made through opening up via online networks continue to amaze and delight me. The knowledge, information, skills and experience are just the icing on the cake.
