  • The main arrival point for jokaydia. Includes calendar tools, venue and resident directories and regularly updated information about the activities and events on the Islands.

jokaydia Resource Spaces

• Edusquare
  • Educational Resources and information for educators who are interested in exploring Second Life and other virtual worlds. Includes a holodeck tool to cater for a range of different style events.

• jokaydia Sandbox
  • A space for all visitors to build and explore Second Life’s built in user content creation tools. Feel free to try out your building skills here! Objects are cleared on a daily basis, so remember to save your masterpiece!

• jokaydia Sloodle Hut
  • A space for residents of the islands of jokaydia to explore the Sloodle toolset and ways it can be used to deliver content in Second Life.

• Bar jokaydia
  • Bar jokaydia hosts parties, meetings and events and includes lots of virtual toys to play with. All visitors are welcome!

• The Dancers Garden
  • A beautiful garden designed to provide a home for ‘The Dancers’ – an amazing sculpture by jokaydia Artist-in-Residence Al Upton.

• jokaydia Art Gallery
  • Hosts a range of art exhibitions and events. Currently hosting the Australian Association of Environmentl Educator’s Conference exhibition – titled ‘Topophilia – love of land’.

• jokaydia Beach
  • An informal space to hang out – includes a comfy campfire and waves to surf!

• jokaydia Lighthouse
  • The lighthouse was the first structure erected on the Islands of jokaydia and features in much of our Island artwork. It provides an informal spot for a chat and a great view for virtual photographs!

• jokaydia Meeting Hall
  • A large flexible space which has been used to host a number of meetings and events. Includes information tools and flexible seating and staging options.

• Second Classroom Project Space
  • Second Classroom is a project to explore ways in which educators can create projects for students using immersive media such as Second Life, MMORPG and social networks to create authentic learning. Contact slammed Aabye or Heyjude Jenns for more info.
