The Islands of jokaydia have recently created a new outpost on ReactionGrid – a fantastic virtual world for business, education, collaboration, and learning and is operated by a fantastic team! ReactionGrid runs on OpenSimulator – an open source virtual worlds platform.

jokaydia’s ReactionGrid presence will provide us with a range of new opportunities, including exploring open source options for virtual worlds education, developing spaces for learning with students more easily and is a great place for experimentation and sandboxing.

We will  be using the ReactionGrid space for a range of projects in the coming months… so stay tuned! All visitors are welcome!

How to Join Us on ReactionGrid

How to Access ReactionGrid

Accessing ReactionGrid requires that you use client software – much like you do when accessing Second Life. You can use a range of different options including:

• For PC:
  • Hippo Viewer
  • Second Life Client
  • RealXtend Client
• For MAC:
  • Second Life client with launcher script.
• For LINUX:
  • Check out the OpenSim website for further info.

You can find further information on clients and logging into ReactionGrid here.  You may also wish to try the Grid Configurator, which will assist you in configuring your software easily.

How to find the jokaydia Sim at Reaction Grid!

To locate the jokaydia Sim at Reaction Grid, simply click on the main map tool and search for ‘jokaydia’. You can then teleport to our sim and join in on the fun!

Alternatively, you are welcome to IM jokay Wollongong for help and support at our regular events! To do so, simply click on the ‘Friends’ button and add ‘jokay Wollongong’ as a friend. You can then get in touch via Instant Message.
