The E-learning Networks (part of the 2005- 2006 Australian Flexible Learning Framework) is holding what looks to be another awesome online conference on elearning from 6-8 September 2006.
It’s a free online event and is titled ‘Tapping into resources for eLearning.’ Check out the website for further info.
The Keynote speaker is Dr David Weinberger. His work focuses on how the Internet is changing human relationships, communication and society. He’ll be asking the question – “The Internet – why do we care so much?” Sounds like a session not to be missed!
Also – for anyone who’s a little new to elearning….. definitely worth checking out the lead-in events, which are designed to give beginners a bit of a kick start. More info here.
Annd, exciting for me… I get to show/ talk about a few of my favourite things in an asynchronous online discussion (starting 30 Aug) and live online tour of Second Life as part of the conference. I can’t wait!!
To all you Secondlifers out there….. All suggestions gratefully accepted – which spots, people, projects do you think we should we check out? ;-P
Anyway, for more info on the conference, download the flyer here or go and register now!
