Hoooray! The horsies are here! 😉
I know everyone is eagerly awaiting 1.6.1, so I thought I’d post an update about what’s happening with Massively and upgrading.
The good news is – 1.6.1 has been released by Mojang! You can read about it here.
As most of you know, we have to wait for Bukkit to update before we can update the main Massively Server. It will likely be a few days until there is a stable version, so please be patient! I will post on the guild site when I know more.
However, the good news is, while you’re waiting you can go and check out the horses and all the other new features in 1.6.1 on our Test Server. The IP Address is:Â 173.208.218.2. Same rules as usual apply – No Griefing, No Swearing (cursing) and be kind to each other at all times. Just like our main server, our test server is safely Whitelisted and only Massively members can join it.
A few notes:
- To play 1.6.1 you’ll need to download the new Minecraft client software from Mojang. Click here for a direct download.
- If you want to play on the main server in 1.5.2 you can still do so using the new client – simply setup a new profile and select 1.5.2 as the version you wish to use. When you want to play on the main server switch to that profile. See image below for an explanation!

I love horses in minecraft. I saw the snapshot but it only had horse stuff but now theres even more!!!!!! WOO HOO

looks like our mine craft programs have automatically updated to 1.6.2 and now we can’t get onto massively – when will the server be updated too?
You should be able to use profiles and play in 1.6.1 .. see the picture above to see where profiles are. The server will probably get updated later on tonight.
The horses have a few glitches now and then because my horse who is pretty fast goes slow in 1.6.2 which was bug fixes….
